KLCCP Stapled Group Wins the Silver Award for Best Designed Annual Report at NACRA 2020

With the theme “The Place – Spaces Inspired for the People,” KLCCP Stapled Group walked away with Silver Award for Best Designed Annual Report at the National Annual Corporate Report Awards (NACRA) 2020.  The win was announced via a virtual platform and live streamed to invited guests on 22 December 2020.

This momentous recognition reflects our commitment to continuously improve our scope of disclosures and aligning to the best practices in integrated corporate reporting, in tandem with the needs of investors and other stakeholders such as employees and our communities. This positive outcome of a “Shared Success” is a symbol of our constant determination and concerted efforts in delivering a timely, informative and well-presented annual report for our stakeholders and is an inspiration for us moving forward.

The winners for Best Designed Annual Report were evaluated based on the presentation of information - concise, logical and easy to understand format.  The level of presentation and readability of annual report is also one of the highlighted criteria.  Winners were also assessed based on the creativity and ingenuity in the use of graphics, graphics, illustrations, photographs and layout concepts that enhance the communicative effect of the annual report.

Established in 1985, NACRA honours and recognises deserving organisations which has achieved excellence through annual corporate reporting.  NACRA 2020 introduces a brand-new awards structure and assessment criteria that augments recognition to many more leading organisations and is aligned with global reporting frameworks and best practices. 

A key change to the NACRA awards structure was that all organisations will compete for Excellence Awards according to market capitalisation for listed companies, with a separate category for non-listed organisations. NACRA 2020 offers a Platinum award as well as three Gold and three Silver awards for each Excellence Awards category, in order to celebrate the commendable improvements in corporate reporting and ­afford recognition to a wider pool of high-quality reporters.

NACRA 2020 also unveiled the new Special Awards categories which include Best Sustainability Reporting Awards, Best Annual Report in Bahasa Malaysia Awards and Best Designed Annual Report.

NACRA is an annual event jointly organised by Bursa Malaysia, Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA) to promote excellence in corporate reporting through more effective communication by organisations in providing timely, factual and reader-friendly annual reports.
